Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge: MN election process. Adhere to all laws, statutes, policies and rules with the essential level of confidentiality and safety required of the position.
Skills: Proficient in using automated systems relevant to the position. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all stakeholders relevant to the position. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, accuracy, and problem solving.
Abilities: Attend trainings/meetings/make deliveries, on an as needed basis. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Follow established procedures and directives from supervisors.

Essential Function: Organize, transport, and test objects and machines required for voting.
Critical Demands:
1. Low-level lift: Occasionally (6-33%)
Required in order to stack and assemble voting equipment, polling devices, and election supply boxes.
- Lift up to 15 pounds from floor to 60 inches.
- Lift up to 24 pounds from floor to 36 inches
- Lift up to 29 pounds from floor to 24 inches.
2. Lift and carry: Occasionally (6-33%)
Required in order to transport polling equipment, and to assist with lifting and transferring assistive
voting device from floor onto a tabletop.
- Lift up to 15 pounds in each hand and carry the total of 30 pounds up to 133 feet.
- Lift up to 35 pounds from floor, side-step 2 feet, and lower onto surface height of 30 inches.
3. Single hand lift and carry: Occasionally (6-33%)
Required in order to transport voting equipment in handled case.
- Lift handled object weighing 36.5 pounds with one hand and carry up to 133 feet.
4. Push/pull: Occasionally (6-33%)
Required in order to transport assistive voting device in rolling case.
- Push or pull a wheeled case with handle, weighing 80 pounds, up to 133 feet.
5. Low-level work: Rarely: (1-5%)
Required in order to obtain, stack, and transfer ballots from the ballot box.
Maintain full or modified kneeling or squat position while grasping, stacking, and transferring paper for up to 2 minutes at a time.
