Responsible for managing all warehouse operations during all phases of an election cycle. Operations include storage, inventory, maintenance, testing, preparation, training, delivery, use and return of election equipment and all steps involved in each of these operations.
High school diploma or G.E.D.; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; Three (3) years of elections or warehouse-related experience and typing speed of at least 30 WPM. Some college credit hours preferred. Ability to obtain certification in election equipment functionality and software. Current Texas driver’s license and automobile liability insurance required. Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Good oral and written communication skills are required. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Must be able to guide the work for a large staff of temporary employees. Basic knowledge of general office practices and procedures, and county records. Ability to read and understand instructions, analyze and interpret data, work independently in the absence of specific instructions and establish and maintain effective working relationships with county employees and the general public.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Maintain the ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, and bend during the shift; Reach, grip and use fine dexterity; Push and pull objects up to 500 pounds; Frequently flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially at the knees; Frequently lift and carry up to 100 pounds; frequently rotate upper trunk to the left or right while sitting or standing; place arms above, at or below shoulder height; Use of vision and depth perception; Talking and hearing.
