We are seeking a Legislative Affairs Intern to join our Government Relations and Legislative Affairs team for a three-month internship. This opportunity is designed for a student or recent graduate interested in gaining practical experience at the intersection of government, public policy, national security, and business.
As a Legislative Affairs Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals supporting KONGSBERG’s U.S. legislative and public policy priorities. You will gain exposure to the federal legislative process, congressional engagement, policy research, and the role government relations plays in supporting a global defense and technology company.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Legislative Affairs Intern will support an externally facing function that develops and advances public policy solutions for KONGSBERG US and the broader enterprise. Working approximately 30 hours per week for three months, the intern will contribute to research, legislative monitoring, briefing preparation, team projects, and department operations under the guidance of Legislative Affairs team members.
This internship provides an opportunity to gain firsthand experience with the U.S. legislative process and develop an understanding of how congressional activity, federal policy, and national security priorities intersect with business strategy.
You will work with a high-performing team that regularly engages senior company executives, congressional offices, industry organizations, and other external stakeholders.
