This position is responsible for directing the legislative activities for the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP). The position is the legislative liaison and strategizes to build relationships between MiLEAP and the Governor's legislative affairs team, executive agencies, Legislator's offices, House and Senate committee chairs, Legislative agencies (i.e., House Fiscal Agency, Senate Fiscal Agency), other state departments and local units of government and educational institutions.
Position Description
This position generally requires possession of a bachelor's degree in any major and four years of professional experience. Specific information on the education and experience required for the position in the job specification of the State Assistant Administrator class.
