Position Overview
The Manager of Government Affairs is a critical role in the growing Government Affairs team at the leading DC clean energy trade association representing large buyers.
The mission of CEBA’s Government Affairs team is to parse CEBA’s major policy objectives into pragmatic legislative and regulatory initiatives that have a reasonable chance of success, while building CEBA’s political brand and sowing seeds for future, longer-term legislative and regulatory wins.
The Government Affairs team manages and leverages relationships with member Government Affairs teams, members of Congress and their staff, a significant coalition of NGO and policy think tanks, our lobbyists, regulatory authorities and the administration.
The Government Affairs team works in partnership with the Policy team with a shared responsibility to inform and influence policy objectives via political intelligence in order to provide an accurate picture of the will of Congress. This occurs by building and maintaining deep relationships with elected and appointed officials and their staff in pursuit of legislative and regulatory objectives.
The position is primarily on-site in our Washington, D.C. office but offers flexibility allowing for regular remote work.

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications. All CEBA employees are eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan, which is based on both organizational and individual performance, up to 10% for this role.
