Resident Selection Supervisor (Local Government) - Washington County Housing Authority

This position oversees key parts of the Housing Authority rental program by guiding application reviews, monitoring compliance, and supporting property operations. The role requires strong judgment, steady communication, and a commitment to fair housing practices. As a Resident Selection Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Applicant Interviews: Interview individuals applying for public housing and review verified applications for final decisions
• Income Reviews: Oversee annual income checks for residents and determine compliance with admission and occupancy policies
• Report Preparation: Prepare and submit required reports for regulating agencies and the housing authority
• Vacancy Tracking: Maintain control logs for vacancies, rent loss, inspections, unit readiness, and lease dates
• Unit Coordination: Coordinate with property managers and maintenance staff on vacancies, refurbishing, and leasing activities
• Resident Support: Provide counseling on rules, respond to placement inquiries, and help resolve grievances

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three (3) years experience in supervising or performing tasks associated with the management of multi-family residential subsidized or affordable housing communities, property owned, or programs administered by a public housing authority or comparable (low-income) property management agency; or
• One (1) year as an Assistant Property Manager or Assistant Section 8 Coordinator; or
• Two (2) years as a Management Aide.

• Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Washington County. If no eligible candidates who live within Washington County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
