This isn't a high-volume, scripted call center. This is a technical career home within a premier, 75-year-old global manufacturer that thrives on "personal touch" service. Our client is a world-class organization that treats its staff as brand experts and trusted partners, resulting in a culture where people stay for decades rather than years.
You will be supporting a premium house of brands used by professionals worldwide. If you are a resourceful problem-solver who enjoys the technical side of manufacturing—troubleshooting industrial tools and managing complex order lifecycles—this role offers the perfect blend of technical challenge and long-term career security. With comprehensive benefits starting after just 30 days and a dedicated path for growth, this is a stable environment focused on sustainable, high-quality service.
What You Will Be Doing
-
Delivering high-level technical support to B2B distributors and B2C end-users regarding product selection and complex troubleshooting
-
Managing the complete order and return lifecycle, including the accurate processing of purchase orders, EDI documents, and warranty requests
-
Serving as the primary technical liaison between Sales, Production Schedulers, and Quality departments to resolve product discrepancies
-
Maintaining critical customer web portals to ensure accurate invoicing, shipping status tracking, and timely RMA resolutions
-
Collaborating with Accounting and Sales teams to onboard new accounts and assist with high-level quotes and sales promotions
-
Troubleshooting industrial tool specifications and providing professional-grade equipment support to a variety of audiences
What We Are Looking For
-
Experience: 2+ years of customer service experience specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment
-
Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly master complex internal order-management systems
-
RMA Expertise: Direct exposure to RMA, warranty, or technical return processes is highly preferred
-
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to explain technical product specs to both distributors and end-users
-
Reliability: A stable and consistent work history with a "can-do" attitude and a commitment to prompt, daily attendance
-
Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Business or Communications is a plus)
-
Requirements: Must reside within a 45-minute drive of the Germantown area for this 100% onsite role
