REV Renewables (“REV”) is an owner, operator, and developer of energy storage and renewable electricity generation across the United States. At REV, we believe that a sustainable, low-carbon electric system is not only possible, but necessary for the livelihood of future generations. REV is at the leading edge of decarbonizing the electric power sector, currently operating one of the nation’s largest grid-scale energy storage portfolios (~2,300 MW), along with a large and growing fleet of solar and wind generation assets (~600 MW). REV is a dynamic and rapidly growing company, and is actively expanding its team across many functions.
REV is an affiliate of LS Power, a company with three decades of experience in the sector. Since its inception, LS Power has invested over $40 billion to construct, acquire and operate more than 45,000 MW of competitive power generation and over 660 miles of transmission infrastructure. Both LS Power and REV focus on active commercial and operational management of assets in competitive power markets across the United States.
SUMMARY:
The Director of Government Affairs will lead REV’s legislative and regulatory efforts. We are seeking an individual with deep understanding of the electric power markets and the ability to understand REV’s business priorities and translate them into clear policy and advocacy strategies.
As a member of REV’s team, this individual will be responsible for independently designing and executing REV’s legislative agenda and communicating it to the broader leadership team. Priorities will be both project and corporate level in nature, and will require close collaboration across the organization. Initially, this individual will focus on states in the eastern RTOs of the United States (PJM, MISO). Over time, this individual will become more active in other states and RTOs, as well as at the federal level. For this role, REV is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and mission-driven individual with the ability and interest to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
Working closely with the executive leadership team, this individual will support a growing company navigating a rapidly evolving legislative and market environment. This individual will be responsible for analyzing, understanding, and effectively communicating the impact of new and emerging issues on REV’s operating assets and development projects. This includes monitoring and engaging with state and federal governments and associated agencies, and will require processing and synthesizing large amounts of information in a way that supports real-time decision-making. Importantly, this will also include acting as an outspoken advocate for REV’s interests to drive positive outcomes for the company and its stakeholders. This will require active engagement with state and federal legislators and other government officials, lobbyists, PR firms, and consultants. This role will be a critical externally- and internally facing role for REV Renewables.
