Career Summary: 


The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking to hire a Senior Policy Analyst. 


The Senior Policy Analyst provides advanced support in developing and disseminating nursing practice and policy initiatives. The role synthesizes emerging evidence, monitors national trends, and contributes to the creation of guidance, standards, and advocacy materials that advance the American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) priorities. This position develops written content for internal and external audiences, supports consultative services for C/SNAs and American Nurses Association (ANA) partners, and collaborates on policy statements, regulatory responses, and testimony. The analyst also helps strengthen communication and engagement by preparing presentations, talking points, and other materials used by ANA leadership and across the broader nursing community.

What You Will Do:

 

What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:

  • Synthesize emerging evidence to inform the development of nursing practice guidance, standards, and policy initiatives. 
  • Contribute to planning and coordination of projects and activities that support ANA’s nursing practice and policy priorities. 
  • Develop and refine written content including reports, briefs, articles, and presentations for internal decision making and dissemination across the nursing community.
  • Monitor national trends, issues, and innovations in healthcare and nursing practice, providing timely analysis to inform organizational strategy.
  • Support consultative and technical assistance efforts to C/SNAs, Organizational Affiliates, and ANE partners by gathering and interpreting relevant information

Education

  • Required: Current, unrestricted RN license 
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in nursing, Public Health, Health Policy, or related field

Related Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of progressive nursing experience with exposure to practice standards, nursing regulation, or policy development. 
  • Experience synthesizing evidence, analyzing trends, or 
  • contributing to practice or policy materials. 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand organizational strategy, 
  • resource priorities, and the broader healthcare landscape to inform decision-making and project planning.

Work Schedule:
